From an early age, he was shaped by the expectations of both lineage and service, trained not only as a soldier, but as a commander of men.Commissioned into the 18th Royal Volpone, Draeve quickly distinguished himself during armoured engagements, demonstrating an innate understanding of battlefield geometry and force concentration. His early career was marked by disciplined aggression, never reckless, but always decisive. His rise through the ranks was steady rather than meteoric. Draeve earned his promotions not through spectacle, but through consistent operational success, low attrition among elite units, and a reputation for reliability in high-command assignments. Yet he never let the dirty work be done by only common soldiers, himself fighting in some of the fiercest engagements and leading by example.
