Sister Superior
Skills and Abilities:

Appearance:
Like most of her sisters in the Order, Iria is built tall (6'1") and of corded, wiry muscle due to good genetics and constant combat training interspersed only by fervent worship of the Emperor or His decision to make sleep a necessity. A chestnut brunette with big brown eyes that can twinkle with delight and darken with fervorous disapproval in equal measure, she often has a smile on her face whether that be personal happiness with the little things or savage glee at living her worship to the God-Emperor. Iria is a mezzo-Soprano, her range not as wide as some other singers but known for her ability to masterfully manipulate timbre and color to express her lyrical performance: A breathy, fragile head voice. A strong and powerful chest voice. A "vocal fry" quality that conveys pain.
She favors the simplest of clothing out of her armor, the silver details being all but thrust upon her after reaching Sister Superior. All of her clothing and armor are kept resplendent in keeping with her Order's belief that the corrupt blood of the heretic and xeno upon it is vivid testament to their holy work. This includes the gleaming wings of her Seraphim Jump Pack.
Merits and Flaws (Required: 2 Flaws Minimum) :
-Zealot (Merit): Resolute in her faith in the Emperor, her service to the Empire, she will not hesitate or doubt in the pursuit of her worship and duty.
-Gregarious (Merit): Approaches all Imperial citizens with a smile on her face and music in her voice, making her unusually adept at dealing with other organizations and civilians.
Zealot (Flaw): She can be blind to alternate solutions, compromise, constructive uses of selective obedience. She is, in a word, hidebound.
Mark (Flaw): Her upbeat demeanor makes her seem like a prime target to bad actors, though she's not naive it does bring a lot of trouble her way.
Biography:
Born to a Commissar and one of her Astra Militarum subordinates, Iria and her sister Lyra were orphaned before either of them were old enough to have a conscious memory of their mother though they were oft told they'd not seen the woman between the day they were born and when she'd died in a far away battle with the Xeno threats to the Imperium. Presumably, their father had died nearby whomever he had been. Raised by the Schola Progenium from early infancy, the two girls were identified as candidates for the Sororitas by the Drill Abbesses at an early age as was common. Together, they were shipped to Ophelia VII and the Convent Sanctorum where they were subjected to the intense testing that all such candidates faced.
Both girls proved to be intelligent, devout, enduring, and persistent in the pursuit of set goals. Where Lyra had a knack for healing, Iria showed a talent for skill at arms. Many a rest was taken with Lyra patching Iria up from combat training wounds while Iria softly sang wordless songs or hymns to heal her sister's heart in return (having patients die on you was disheartening to say the least). While her sister excelled in medicine, Iria moved farther and father into her military instruction until the day came that they were judged worthy. Together, they took their vows to the Emperor and, having completed their basic training, were brought before the Canonesses and Palatines of the Orders to be selected.
Lyra was selected first, being sent to the Order of the Cleansing Water. She shot a soft, loving smile to Iria and before being guided out of the great hall. Her retreating back was the last Iria saw of her sister, minutes later being selected for the comparatively minor Order of the Singing Sisters. Apparently her tendency for song and harmonized verses had not gone unnoticed. The years came fast, fighting in the wars of Aellia and nearby assignments. Working her way through the ranks to become a Sister Superior of the Seraphim and keeping the unfaltering, exuberant faith that saw her through battle after battle with the inhuman foes of her beloved God-Emperor. Singing his praise and her worship for all to hear. A warning to His foes, loving protection for his flock.
